F-1 visa revocation enjoined

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A New Mexico federal court issued a temporary restraining order against ICE and the Department of Homeland Security, enjoining the federal government from terminating a foreign student’s F-1 student status at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. The court agrees that terminating his visa would put him at “risk of detention and deportation” and imposes “extreme financial hardship” on the man.
