DALLAS — A federal court in Texas denied ExxonMobil’s motion for judgment on the pleadings in the face of a federal securities class action, in which a bank, Rhode Island and the state’s treasurer sued the oil giant over ExxonMobil’s alleged overstatement of the value of its Permian Basin oil and gas assets.
