ExxonMobil Accused Of Racial Discrimination

HOUSTON (CN) - A longtime employee with a chemistry degree says ExxonMobil refused to promote her for years, and when she complained of it, her boss told her that she "is black and (is) supposed to take abuse and be harassed." Then the boss allegedly said "that she would not be an 'Uncle Tom' if she went back to work."

Carla Briggs demands punitive damages for racial and sexual discrimination and retaliation. She is represented in Federal Court by Angela Harrington.
