LOS ANGELES (CN) - Former "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" cast member Constance Ramos says the show's producers refused to pay her for episodes broadcast after her 2005 departure.
Ramos designed home remodeling projects on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" from September 2003 to October 2005.
After she left, she says Lock and Key Productions used her image without permission in the spinoff "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: How'd They Do That?" She claims Lock and Key also used her image on rebroadcast episodes of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on other networks, without paying her.
Ramos says she started out making $5,000 per 1-hour "Extreme Makeover" episode, and was making double that amount when she left the show. She claims Lock and Key aired at least 46 episodes in which she appeared without paying her.
Ramos, now known as Constance Carrell, sued Lock and Key, Endemol USA and Greengrass Productions alleging violations of publicity rights.
She is represented in Superior Court by Gregory Fayer with Gipson Hoffman & Pancione.
