Excessive idling

BOSTON – A federal judge ruled in favor of several bus companies on charges that they excessively idle their buses – up to two and a half hours – in violation of the Clean Air Act. The plaintiff environmental organization cannot show any of its members have been injured by the buses’ air pollution, so it lacks standing to sue.
