Excessive Force

Parents of an 11-year-old boy sued Maury County, Tenn., its public schools and sheriff’s department, claiming school resource officer Timothy Byrdsong <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Excessive-Force.pdf"><strong>assaulted their son</strong></a> on campus, in an incident that was <strong><a href="https://www.wkrn.com/news/sro-fired-for-using-excessive-force-on-11-year-old-defends-actions/">caught on video</a></strong>.

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Parents of an 11-year-old boy sued Maury County, Tenn., its public schools and sheriff’s department, claiming a school resource officer assaulted their son on campus, in an incident that was caught on video.
