MANHATTAN (CN) - A former NYPD police Sgt. pleaded guilty today to illegally disseminating information from the FBI's "Terrorist Watch List." Sgt. Haytham Khalil admitted he illegally gained access to the list on an NYPD computer and sent information from it to a friend in Canada, to use in a custody dispute.

Khalil, 34, of Brooklyn, faces up to 1 year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 at his April 14 sentencing in Federal Court.
