Eviction laws

MANHATTAN — The Second Circuit upheld the dismissal of First and 14th Amendment claims brought by New York City landlords challenging city-enacted amendments to eviction laws during the pandemic but revived their contracts clause claims relating to a law that rendered personal liability guaranties of commercial lease obligations between March 7, 2020, and June 20, 2021.
