EU Trade with Canada

The European Union reported a trade surplus of 2.6 billion euros with Canada in 2007, despite Canada's decreasing importance since 2000 as one of Europe's trade partners. The union traded mostly medicines, oil, and motor engines for uranium, diamonds, coal, and aircraft. Germany had the highest surplus with Canada at 3.6 billion euros. The United Kingdom had the largest deficit of more than 3.3 billion.
