EU Price-Fixing

The European Court of Justice <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/toshiba-eu.pdf">upheld</a></strong> a $70 million fine Thursday against Toshiba for its price-fixing of gas-insulated switchgear.

LUXEMBOURG – The European Court of Justice upheld a $70 million fine Thursday against Toshiba for its price-fixing of gas-insulated switchgear. Mitsubishi faced a separate $90 million fine but did not appeal. Both companies are jointly and severally responsible for about 7.5 percent of the other’s fines.
