EU Inflation Drops

Annual inflation in the European Union dropped from 4.4% to 4.2% between July and August, after inflation decreased by 0.1% in August. Regardless, annual inflation as of August of 2007 was 1.9%, which is much lower than the rates seen today. In the last year since August, Latvia suffered from the highest inflation of all member states, at 15.6%. The Netherlands had the lowest inflation at only 3%.
