EU Cybersecurity

BRUSSELS — The European Parliament has passed the EU's first-ever law to improve cybersecurity, tasking member states with protecting essential services like banks and transports from attacks.

The new law takes effect in August, and member states will have 21 months to implement it through national legislation.
