HAMPTON, Va. (CN) - Two men sued the Extended Stay America hotel in Hampton, and Travelocity, which booked them into it, saying they were feasted upon by fleas at the "pet friendly" motel, which neglected to clean animal poop from under their bed. One man says his bites and resulting rashes were so severe he still suffers from them two years later, so that "he now suffers from erectile dysfunction and as a consequence has virtually no sex life."
The men say Travelocity knew or should have known that there had been "numerous highly publicized complaints" from guests at Extended Stay America hotels about fleas and mites. In separate complaints, the men seek millions of dollars for negligence. They are represented in Hampton City Court by Gerald Poindexter of Surry, Va.
