The U.S. Forest Service violated environmental laws and failed to do environmental assessments before approving clear-cut logging on 133 acres with habitat for protected species in the Butte Ranger District of the Beaver Head-Deer Lodge National Forest, the Alliance for the Wild Rockies claims in Missoula, Mont., Federal Court.
