Kanye West's 2005 tune, "Gone," illegally copied or sampled Kathleen Firrantello's 1974 tune, "Upon This Rock," Firrantello claims in Manhattan Federal Court.

Firrantello dba Farjo Music accuses these defendants of copyright violations: Kanye West, Roc-A-Fella Records LLC, The Island Def Jam Music Group, Universal Music Group, Vivendi SA, Sample Clearance Ltd., Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. pka Common, Interscope Geffen A&M Records, Clifford Smith pka Method Man, and Reginald Reggie Noble pka Redman.
