UMG Recordings claims that Burt Sugarman, who produced "The Midnight Special" TV show from 1973 to 1981, is illegally selling DVDs of UMG artists who appeared on the show. UMG also sued Guthy-Renker Entertainment, in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Arcadia Consolidated claims Insight Film Studios and others owe it for production work and licensing of two movies, "Odysseus and the Isle of Mists," and "Riddle of the Sphinx," in Vancouver, B.C. Supreme Court.

Arcadia also sued Second Chance Productions, Mysts Productions, and Sphinx Productions.
