CHICAGO - Singer R. Kelly was acquitted today (Friday) of all 14 charges in his child pornography trial. The Cook County jury deliberated for less than a day before acquitting him, apparently unpersuaded that the people who appeared in a graphic sex video could be proved to be Kelly or his alleged victim.

Atlantic Recording Corp. sued two members of the Stone Temple Pilots - Scott Weiland and Eric Kretz - in a dispute over a 1992 recording agreement. Atlantic claims in Manhattan Federal Court that the defendants want to change the deal and threatened to terminate it.

Bonnie Lynn Bramlett claims EMI Music Publishing mistakenly paid her royalties to her ex-husband for four years, and won't tell her how much it paid, in Davidson County Chancery Court, Nashville.

Morgan Creek of America claims Nintendo violated copyright by using the tune "You're So Cool" in a TV ad for the Nintendo GameCube, in Los Angeles Federal Court.
