CHICAGO – Singer R. Kelly was acquitted today (Friday) of all 14 charges in his child pornography trial. The Cook County jury deliberated for less than a day before acquitting him, apparently unpersuaded that the people who appeared in a graphic sex video could be proved to be Kelly or his alleged victim.
Atlantic Recording Corp. sued two members of the Stone Temple Pilots – Scott Weiland and Eric Kretz – in a dispute over a 1992 recording agreement. Atlantic claims in Manhattan Federal Court that the defendants want to change the deal and threatened to terminate it.
