Lions and Tigers

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - PETA successfully argued in federal court in Indiana that an exotic animal facility cannot transfer tigers, lions and other big cats to another location out of state under the terms of an injunction and preservation order.  

PETA claims Wildlife in Need and Wildlife in Deed, Inc. – which exhibits exotic animals in Charlestown, Indiana –  is an “unaccredited roadside zoo that exhibits animals for financial gain.” The animal rights organization sued the company for purported unlawful practices under the Endangered Species Act.
