The City of Columbus, Ohio and its Police Chief illegally require employees to turn over confidential medical records when they return from illness or injury leave, a class-action complaint claims in Columbus Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: GPM Investments, in Hartford Federal Court; Intertek USA fka Caleb Brett USA, in Brooklyn Federal Court; Kazi Foods, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Liveops Inc., in Brunswick, Ga., Federal Court; the Automobile Club of Southern California, and Sears Roebuck & Co., in Orange County Court, Calif.
