A kindergarten teacher for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington says in D.C. Superior Court that whenshe told police abouther suspicion that a child was being abused by a relative,the archdiocese fired her.
Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Ritz Carlton Hotel Co., in New Orleans Federal Court; Safeway and Vons Cos., AT&T, Union Bank of California, Clougherty Packing and Hormel Foods Corp., Los Palos Convalescent Hospital, and Hungry Man Inc., in Los Angeles Superior Court; Citizens Mortgage Corp., in Bergen County Court, Hackensack, N.J.; Krust Pizza, in Central Islip, N.Y., Federal Court; American Glass and Mirror Company of Valdosta, in Valdosta, Ga., Federal Court; Atlantic & Pacific Property Management-Atlantic Division, Southern Waste Systems, and New River Pizza, in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court; and Lightning Electric, Snow White Linen Services, and Lakeside Dental Care, in West Palm Beach Federal Court.
