Noel Williams claims the Ohio Department of Commerceand its Director Kimberly Zurz fired him because he is president of the Columbus NAACP, and Zurz wanted to show other employees where the power lay, in Columbus, Ohio, Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: St. Paul Guardian Insurance Co., in New York County Court; Saturn Motor Car Corp., in San Diego Superior Court; Super Center Concepts, in Orange County Court, Calif.; WellPoint, in Syracuse, N.Y., Federal Court; USProtect Corp., The Griddle Café, Hamburger Mary's International, and Allan Co., in Los Angeles Superior Court; and Spivey Utility Construction Co., in Tampa Federal Court.
