Aegis Communications makes its call-center employees work for free, off the books, according to a class action in Dallas Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: the Los Angeles Times, Lennar Homes, Ryland Homes, Diamond Restaurant Management and Desert King Restaurants, Sav-On Drug Stores, and L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Services, in Los Angeles Superior Court; ADT Security Services, in Los Angeles Federal Court; York Claims Service, in Sacramento Superior Court; OB Sports Golf Management, in Orange County Court, Calif.; The Sleep Train, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; Williams Scotsman Inc., in Ventura County Court, Calif.; Aon Corp., in Manhattan Federal Court; Giordano's Enterprises, in Cook County Court; American Huts Inc. dba ADF Companies, in Atlanta Federal Court; and Distinctive Construction, CC Naples Inc., and Ken Livingston Landscape Services, in Fort Myers Federal Court, Fla.
