The American Legion fired a man for complaining of his boss's racist remarks, such as "Mexicans have no business being here," and "Mexicans are taking over Gresham and making it a bad place to live," Gregory Perez claims in Multnomah County Court, Ore.

Libbey Glass, of Baton Rouge, allowed a supervisor to sexually harass and paw its employees, expose himself, demand oral sex, make threats such as, "Give me sex or I will make sure you have a hard time here," and ignored workers' complaints, one of the man's alleged victims claims in Caddo Parish Court, La.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Vermeer Transport, in Los Angeles Federal Court; Perot Systems Corp., in Alameda County Court, Oakland; San Diego Eye Bank, and Coxcom, in San Diego Superior Court; Carmax Auto Superstores California, V3 Club Co., and PQ Beverly Hills (and nine other PQ operations) in Los Angeles Superior Court; United Parcel Service, in Richmond, Va., Federal Court; St. Vincent New Hope, in Indianapolis Federal Court; Dairyland Milk Transport Co., in Fresno Federal Court; TXI Riverside Cement Co., in San Bernardino County Court, Victorville; Jim Soutar Dodge City, in San Bernardino County Court, Barstow; Praxair Inc., in San Bernardino County Court, Rancho Cucamonga; Rush Truck Centers of Florida, V Connect U, and Florida Vegetation Management, in Tampa Federal Court; Compass Rose Foundation, in Fort Myers, Fla., Federal Court; and MDVIP Inc., in West Palm Beach Federal Court.
