A black former employee at the Salvation Army claims her boss, a Russian, fired her for revealing that she was a lesbian, in Bronx County Supreme Court. He allegedly told her that gay people are executed in his country and that black people do not get far in life because they are ignorant.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Future Solutions in Orange County Court; Spice Place, Spice Ave., Bangkok Palace II, Spice City, Spice West, Kitlen Management and Kitlen in Manhattan Federal Court; USA Exterminators and Super G. Foods dba Associated Supermarket in Brooklyn Federal Court; Staples in Boston Federal Court; Netcomp Communications Group in Tampa Bay Federal Court; and Genuine Parts Company dba Napa Auto Parts in Beaumont Federal Court.
