Marty Penstein, a senior executive at LaSalle Bank and ABN Amro, claims they fired him illegally to retaliate for his blowing the whistle on systematic money laundering, illegal cash transfers and criminal securities violations. He also sued Bank of America, which bought LaSalle/ABN in 2007, in Manhattan Federal Court.
Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Autism Behavior Consultants, Metropolitan Interpreters and Translators, Trader Distribution Services and Dominion Distribution Services, and Arevalo Landscaping Service, in Los Angeles Superior Court; DHL Express, and Southeast Waffles, in Birmingham, Ala., Federal Court; Getronics USA, Valero Retail Holdings, and The Woodlands Operating Co., in Houston Federal Court; AG Contractors, in Manhattan Federal Court; Tucker Concrete Co., in Atlanta Federal Court; Estate Werks, and BJs Market, in Chicago Federal Court; Sara Lee and Total Logistics Control, and Maid Brigade, in Dallas Federal Court; Cocina Poblana of Emeryville, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; and Lindstrom Air Conditioning, in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court.
