Five employees of Capital Steel Services made a hangman's noose and waved it at a black co-worker, gave him a watermelon, and called him a n r, the worker says in a discrimination claim in Mercer County Court, N.J.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: LandAmerica Financial Group, Telmex USA, and Healstone Property Management and Landmark Properties, n Los Angeles Superior Court; Best Buy, in San Francisco Federal Court; Kraft Foods Global, in Orange County Court, Calif.; Red Lobster, in Alameda County Court, Hayward; Ruth's Chris Steak House, in Manhattan Federal Court; TD Bank and Bancnorth Investment Group, in Camden, N.J., Federal Court; RailCrew Xpress, in Topeka Federal Court; and Les Schwab Tire Centers of Portland, in Multnomah County Court, Ore.
