Comforce Telecom and The Communications Workers of America got millions of dollars in contracts that required union labor, without providing workers with union representation, according to a RICO class action in Binghamton, N.Y., Federal Court.
Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: American National Insurance, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Ethan Allen Retail, in Atlanta Federal Court; Wells Fargo Financial, in Kansas City, Mo., Federal Court; Rite-Aid, on behalf of managers and assistant managers, Shoe Mania, and La Revise Associates, in Manhattan Federal Court; Tyler Technologies & EDP Enterprises, in Marshall, Texas, Federal Court; Dynatec Mining, FNX Mining, Mid-Tennessee Zinc Corp., and Strategic Resource Acquisition Corp. in two claims in Cookeville, Tenn., Federal Court; and Aloha Pools & Spas, in Jackson, Tenn., Federal Court.
