Eighty-five employees say General Nutrition Centers cheated them of overtime and otherwise violated the Labor Code, in Orange County Court, Calif.

CVS Pharmacy refused to promote a black employee, telling him suburban stores were not "ready for your culture," he claims in Essex County Court, Newark.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Marriott International, and Odyssey Healthcare, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Boyd Gaming Corp. dba Sam's Town Hotel and Casino, and On-Call Staffing, in Delta, Miss., Federal Court; and Fuji Sushi, in Orlando Federal Court.
