Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University pays women less than similarly situated men, according to a class action discrimination claim in Roanoke Federal Court.

Carson & Roberts, a trucking company, let its managers repeatedly insult an employee with anti-Semitic slurs, in the mistaken belief that he is Jewish, the man claims in Sussex County Court, N.J.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Taco Bell, in Orange County Court, Calif.; HFS North America, in San Francisco Federal Court; Reliable Trucking, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; Phoenix Casino and Lounge, in Sacramento Superior Court; UPS Ground Freight, in Dane County Court, Wisc.; MPC Computers, in Boise Federal Court; Tartine Inc., in Manhattan Federal Court; Nordic Construction, in Pierce County Court, Wash.; and Organic Pastures Dairy, McAfee Farms, and Expeditionary Farming, in one complaint, and PB Fasteners in another, in Los Angeles Superior Court.
