Elwyn Inc., which serves disabled people, subjects African employees to statements such as, "African people sleep in trees," Irene Togbe says in a discrimination and wrongful firing claim in Philadelphia Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Earl Scheib Inc., Radioshack, Move Sales, FMW Graphics, Superior Grocers, and Brand Connections, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Mack Trucks, in an ERISA claim in Bay City, Mich., Federal Court; Homosassa Riverside Resort, in Ocala, Fla., Federal Court; and Hartford Fire Insurance, in an ERISA claim in Hartford Federal Court.
