The Virginia Commissioner of Labor and Industry cited Advanced Technologies Processing, which recycles fluorescent light bulbs and other stuff, for 20 serious violations, six of them willful, including mercury-laden dust throughout its Richmond plant and break room, in Henrico County Court. The state also cited Supreme Computer & Electronic Recyling, citing 13 serious violations, two of them willful.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: The Pepsi Bottling Group, and Nation's Foodservice, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; PB Fasteners, Swiss Dairy Corp., and Travel Stores, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Evenson Plumbing, in Santa Barbara Superior Court; Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, in Oakland Federal Court; FedEx National LTL, in Jacksonville, Fla., Federal Court; York Capital Management, for a mass layoff, in Manhattan Federal Court; BJ's Wholesale Club, in Boston Federal Court; and Lee's Towing & Service, and Construct Corps, in Tampa Federal Court.
