Convergys Corp. fired a longtime employee, a white woman, because she is friends with a black man who works with her, she claims in Oklahoma City Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Best Buy, Villa Elena Convalescent Hospital, DSW Inc., Arcadia Resources/Cardinal Health, and Valassis Direct Mail, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Sleep Train Mattress Centers, in San Francisco Federal Court; Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, In-N-Out Burgers, the Orange County Sanitation District, and Kings Seafood Co., in Orange County Court, Calif.; Inter-Con Security Systems, in San Diego Superior Court; Boart Longyear Co., in Sutter County Court, Calif.; Golden State Overnight Delivery Service, in Santa Barbara Superior Court; and Mortgage Sources Corp., in Kansas City, Kan., Federal Court.
