Sutter Health stiffs its nurses, surgical technicians and other staff for overtime, rounds down their hours and cheats them in other ways, a class action claims in Alameda County Court, Oakland.

FMC Technologies and Pro Staff Personnel Services subject black employees to vile racial abuse and threats and refuse to promote them because of their race, 12 workers claim in Houston Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Nordstrom, International Paper Co., U.S. Borax, and Human Contract/Overbrook Entertainment, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Lockheed Martin, in Santa Clara County Court, Calif.; PPS Parking, in Orange County Court, Calif.; Lennar Corp., in Houston Federal Court; Coqui Check Cashing/JCG Check Cashing, in Brooklyn Federal Court; Comcast, Superior Pipeline Services, Corporate Commercial Sweeping, Plaza Security, and W.S. Outler and Associates, in Atlanta Federal Court.
