Volvo North America sued UAW Local 2069 in Charlotte, N.C., Federal Court, insisting it can terminate the health-care benefits of everyone who retired from the New River Valley Assembly Plant in Dublin, Va., before Jan. 1, 2008.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: CVS Rx Services, in Los Angeles Federal Court; Enc Inc., in Los Angeles Superior Court; AIMCO Properties, in Denver Federal Court; GRN Enterprises, JC Stonewall Constructors, and Art Catering, in Houston Federal Court; Beaumont Independent School District, in Beaumont, Texas, Federal Court; and After Hours Garage of Ocala, in Ocala, Fla., Federal Court.
