The Jefferson Parish Engineering Department fired a Jewish Italian-American worker after subjecting him to Nazi salutes accompanied by "Sieg Heil!" and other vile racial insults, the worker claims in New Orleans Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: The Sygma Network, Gamestop Corp., and Flying Food Group, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Acura of Riverside, in Riverside County Court, Calif.; Orange County, and Aladdin Bail Bonds, in Orange County Court, Calif.; Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, and TheLadders.com, in Manhattan Federal Court, and JP Morgan Chase Bank in an ERISA complaint in the same court; The Mortgage Zone, and New Castle Financial Group, in Central Islip, N.Y., Federal Court; Family Christian Stores, Clarklift of Florida, Florida Blinds and Shutters, and The Wentzel Family LP, in Tampa Federal Court; Dolgencorp/Dollar General Corp., in Scranton, Pa., Federal Court; and BJ Tidwell Industries dba Cardell Kitchen and Bath Cabinetry, for a mass layoff, in San Antonio Federal Court.
