A Latino sales rep claims Cope Salt Co. fired him for refusing to participate in "Cope Salt's illegal and fraudulent minority bidding venture" by posing as a minority contractor on jobs that actually would be done by Cope Salt, in Philadelphia Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: U.S. Foodservice, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; ASR Constructors, in Riverside Superior Court, Calif.; Red Bull North America, and Cacique Inc., in Sacramento Superior Court; Epic Landscape Productions, in Kansas City, Mo., Federal Court; CFI Sales & Marketing/Central Florida Investments/Westgate Resorts, in Orlando Federal Court; Verizon and 20/20 Cos., in Central Islip, N.Y., Federal Court; Couto, DeFranco & Magone PA, in Essex County Court, Newark; Waldschmidt Holdings/MGM Properties dba Vistaserv, in Tampa Federal Court; and Florida Public Utilities Co., in Jacksonville Federal Court.
