Veterans Machining transferred and fired a black worker after he complained that co-workers spit at him, called him a n----r and hung a noose at his desk, William Winstead claims in Cincinnati Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Bed Bath & Beyond, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Bristol-Myers Squibb, in Trenton Federal Court, N.J.; Borack and Associates, in Orlando Federal Court; J.D. Byrider, in Jacksonville, Fla., Federal Court; Utility Masters, in Sherman, Texas, Federal Court; and Leal's Restaurant, in Amarillo Federal Court.
