Crom Corp. let its employees terrorize a black co-worker by hanging a noose in his work area, putting a noose around his neck, and threatening to decapitate him, the EEOC says in Gainesville, Fla., Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: FedEx, The Cheesecake Factory, Spicers Paper, and Gate Gourmet, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Peter Pan Bus Lines, in Boston Federal Court; McGraw-Hill Cos., in an ERISA complaint in Manhattan Federal Court; VIP Wireless Consulting, in Pittsburgh Federal Court; Encore Receivable Management and Convergys Corp., in Kansas City, Kan., Federal Court; Durability Inc., and Segrest Farms, in Tampa Federal Court; U-Pull & Save, and Wholesale Pictures & Mirrors, in Fort Myers, Fla., Federal Court; Vacuvent, and D&D Tractor and Truck Service, in Orlando Federal Court; Augustyniak Insurance Group, in Duval County Court, Fla.; Molana's Restaurant, in Middlesex County Court, Woburn, Mass.; Avanti International Transportation, in Houston Federal Court; Spherion Corp., and Burt's Butcher Shoppe, in Columbus, Ga., Federal Court; and Royle Printing Co., in Dane County Court, Madison, Wisc.

(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
