Tri-City Extrusion's only (former) black foreman claims workers hung a noose in the workplace to intimidate him and the plant manager physically threatened him, in a racial discrimination claim in Greeneville, Tenn., Federal Court. And in Gainesville, Fla., Federal Court, a black worker claims Crom Equipment Rentals fired him after he complained that white coworkers put a noose around his neck.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Meda Pharmaceuticals, and The Mobile Solution Corp., in Los Angeles Superior Court; National Foundations and Foundations First, in Greenbelt, Md., Federal Court; Waltco, in Madison, Wisc., Federal Court; Finest Security Service, in Brooklyn Federal Court; Mid-County Financial Corp. dba Pioneer Financial Services, in Norfolk, Va., Federal Court; Famous Amos Restaurants, in Jacksonville, Fla., Federal Court; Brinker Florida, and TNT Roofing, in Tampa Federal Court; and T&S Tunnel Express, in Oxford, Miss., Federal Court. (Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
