Whitlock Packaging Corp. fired a woman for "violence in the workplace" because she bit a co-worker who helped her as she suffered a seizure, according to a discrimination claim in Muskogee, Okla., Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: H&R Block Tax Services, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Guard Source Security, in Orange County Court, Calif.; Spirit Cruises, in Boston Federal Court; Jennifer Convertibles, in San Francisco Federal Court; Automatic Fire Sprinkler/Sysco Fire Protection Services/Surety Company of the Pacific, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; Avis Budget Group, in Newark Federal Court; Corrigan Moving Systems, in Chicago Federal Court; American Cable & Telephone, in Cook County Court; The Gutter Guy, in Central Islip, N.Y., Federal Court; AFS Logistics, in Pittsburgh Federal Court; Pioneer Exploration, and Kid's Playhouse Learning Center, in Houston Federal Court; and Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, in Atlanta Federal Court.
