Eight former workers say Walgreen discriminates against black people by firing them, in a class action in E. St. Louis Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Pacific Bancorp, iQOR, ACS Enterprises, Sur La Table, and Mistras Group/Conam Inspection and Engineering Services, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Citigroup Global Markets dba Smith Barney, for discriminating against women, in Alameda County Court, Oakland; CVS Caremark, on behalf of assistant managers, in Manhattan Federal Court; Liberty Travel, in Newark Federal Court; Papagallos Restaurant, in Chicago Federal Court; Pizza Hut of Southeast Kansas, in Kansas City, Kan., Federal Court; Mattress One, and Leon Medical Centers, in Miami Federal Court; Pro Tech Paint and Body, in Orlando Federal Court; and Consulate Management Co., in Seminole County Court, Fla.(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
