Soon after a district manager told an employee that if he mentioned the disabling injury he got on the job, "something will happen to you," Burger King fired him, the injured man claims in Bronx County Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Petco Animal Supplies, Mountain High Ski Resort, Staffmark, and Corner Bakery Cafe, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Bank of America, in Seattle Federal Court; Ferguson Enterprises, in Fresno Federal Court; AETNA Life Insurance, in Fresno Superior Court; Kraft Foods Global dba Columbia Foods Co., in Jefferson City, Mo., Federal Court; Falcon Data Com, in Brooklyn Federal Court; Naples Grand Resort & Club, in Fort Myers Federal Court; Food Wholesalers, in Pinellas County Court, Fla.; and the U.S. Postmaster General, in Newark Federal Court.

(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
