A former deputy claims the Sarasota County Sheriff violated the law by firing him because his alcoholism is a disability, in Tampa Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Community Memorial Health System, in Ventura County Court, Calif.; Bloomberg, Solomon & Associates, in Atlanta Federal Court; Plano Overhead, in Sherman, Texas, Federal Court; and Rhodia Inc., in Baton Rouge Federal Court.

(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
