The former head of the cold case homicide squad says the City of Detroit demoted him after he investigated reports that homicide victim Tamara Green, an exotic dancer, had attended a party at the Manoogian Mansion attended by then-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, in Wayne County Court, Detroit.
Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Bank of the West, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Groeniger & Co., in Alameda County Court, Oakland; Cotti Foods, in Orange County Court, Calif.; Securitas Security Services USA, in Sacramento Federal Court; Wawona Property Management dba The Redwoods in Yosemite, for discriminating against Latinos, in Fresno Federal Court; Rite-Aid, and the Jefferson County Board of Education, in Birmingham, Ala., Federal Court.
(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
