Representing 7,000 state employees, the California Association of Psychiatric Technicians sued Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for eliminating Lincoln's Birthday and Columbus Day as paid holidays, in Sacramento Superior Court.
Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Textron, in an ERISA complaint in Providence Federal Court; A.D. Transport Express, in Detroit Federal Court; Worth & Co., in Philadelphia state court; Great Wall Supermarket, of New York, in Brooklyn Federal Court; Net Equity Financial, in Baltimore Federal Court; Cambridge Viscosity, in Middlesex County Court, Woburn, Mass.; Chef 81 Corp., and H ABC Restaurant dba Precious, in Newark Federal Court; Elements Asia, in Trenton, N.J., Federal Court; Florida State Restoration Services, Florida Jet Aviation Cleaning Services, Immuno Laboratories, Jenna Group/Stone's Contracting, Financial Aid Management for Education, and San Dollar Distributors, in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court; and Pretzels of Volusia, in Orlando Federal Court.
