A senior equities specialist, on administrative leave, claims Merrill Lynch and Bank of America failed to take corrective action after a Merrill Lynch director raped her, and was arrested and charged with it, in Manhattan Federal Court.

Fortress Investment Group and Nevada Gold Inc. deducted health insurance premiums for employees of its SunCruz Casinos, but never bought the insurance, and fired hundreds of workers without proper notice, a class action claims in Orlando Federal Court.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Countrywide Financial and Bank of America, Dunn-Edwards Corp., and Riverstone Residential and Stratus Real Estate, in Los Angeles Superior Court; UBS Financial Services, Montero Shipping Corp., and Beverage Plus America Corp., in Manhattan Federal Court; Pizza Hut, in Huntsville, Ala., Federal Court; Transcore LP, in Tampa Federal Court; 4M Towing, and New Code Windows and Doors, in Fort Myers, Fla., Federal Court.

(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
