Emergency Leave

A charter school is a covered employer under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, a federal court in Pennsylvania ruled in a suit brought by an employee who says the school refused to let her take emergency leave to care for her children during the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the charter school is independent from the school board and school district in some ways, it is not a private entity.
