Emergency braking

PHOENIX — The Arizona Supreme Court ruled a mother’s wrongful death claims against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles aren’t preempted as they don’t conflict with any National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s objective or policy. The plaintiff claims the collision that killed her 4-year-old daughter would not have happened or would have caused less damage if the Jeep that rear-ended them had been equipped with automatic emergency braking technology.
