Electric Avenue

MANHATTAN — A federal court in New York denied former President Donald Trump’s request to dismiss a copyright suit brought by musician Eddy Grant arising from the use of his song ”Electric Avenue” in a video — created by a third party and retweeted by Trump — which endorsed Trump’s reelection campaign. The video “did not parody the music or transform it in any way.”
